On June 25th 2023, Riverfront Park in Fitchburg was alive with the vibrant pulse of the first annual Fitchburg Arts and Culture Extravaganza (FACE).
This festival, a celebration of diversity and creativity, showcased an impressive array of multicultural art, food, and live performances, drawing a lively crowd from across North Central Massachusetts.
The FACE festival, proudly presented by local creative powerhouses including Cypha in da Burg and Young Coff33, in collaboration with various community partners, turned into a spectacular canvas displaying the cultural richness of Fitchburg.
Diverse Musical Acts
From the Latin rhythms of K'Sanova La Del Pueblo to the traditional Afro-Puerto Rican beats of Bomba de Aqui, and the dynamic hip-hop sounds of JoE GriZzLy, the festival offered a melodic journey through different cultures and music genres.
Art Exhibitions and Live Demonstrations
Attendees experienced live art demonstrations by Icarus Shop and Artifakt Studios, and viewed exquisite artworks from local artists like GMR Prints and Bear Bones Sculpture, enriching their cultural palate.
Community and Wellness Booths
The festival featured booths like Empower Children for Success, focusing on SNAP awareness, and the Fitchburg Wellness Initiative, providing health and wellness information.
Children’s Activities
Engaging activities for children, including henna, face painting, and an interactive drumming experience by Circle of Life Drumming & Expressive Dance, ensured a fun-filled day for all ages.
Food and Drink
With a variety of vendors like Mera's Cakes and Drink Galactic, attendees savored an array of delicious foods and beverages that complemented the festive atmosphere.
